MOVEMENT DATA

Exercise sources and attribution

Plus Ultra’s searchable library contains 2,251 distinct movement names: curated entries, licensed records from wger Workout Manager, and text-only metadata from hasaneyldrm/exercises-dataset. Plus Ultra adds its own category and muscle-name normalization and editable bodyweight-load estimates.

Source and licenses

The wger snapshot comes from the ExerciseInfo API. Each imported record keeps its wger ID, source link, author, and license in data/wger-exercises.json; 886 distinct catalog entries remain after duplicate names are removed.

wger documents its software and content licenses separately. The source records carry the license attached to each exercise; redistribution of CC BY-SA material must retain attribution and the applicable share-alike terms. These source-data licenses do not apply to Plus Ultra's software code.

The second source contains 1,324 records. Plus Ultra adds 1,260 names after de-duplicating the wger and curated catalogs. Only exercise names, body-part categories, primary and secondary muscle tags, and equipment labels are included; no images, animations, instructions, or video links are bundled from this source. Its dataset metadata is MIT licensed, with the required notice in LICENSES/Exercise-Dataset-MIT.txt.

Anatomy illustrations

The interactive front and back muscle maps use segmented vector anatomy paths over neutral grayscale, AI-generated body backgrounds from MuscleMap, copyright © 2026 Jsplice and MuscleMap contributors. The diagrams are distributed under the MIT License; the required license notice is included in LICENSES/MuscleMap-MIT.txt.
